Trying to work out the value of gold in the game. I mean do you get about 10g per hour farming?

nope. very few level 80s run around with more than 15 or 20 gold from my experience.

Level 80s do about 1-2G an hour max farming from what I can see, this is stacking magic find to the max and going to low level areas and 1 hit killing mobs, the events on Orr are slightly slower than that I think.

well as a lvl 80 ive burn some gold but im now feel that its way way slower than before, sometimes i do 1g per few hours.

mostly because my only concern is that Orr, Trolls and big DE its just a AoE spamming fest, so if you dont have reliable AoE or they are in high cooldown or are DoTs, forget to get drops when you have to run and spam 1 and hope you do enough damage to get at least xp.

1-2gold /hour but since the amounts of bots prices are dropping unless you use the ah then you can make 5+ gold/hour

He’s talking about merchanting, which technically has no limit to the amount you can make.
Lucky sales, your willingness to trick people, etc.

Pure dedicated farming, selling everything to vendors and yellow drops to trading post, you can make roughly about 5G per 8 hours. How much you earn is entirely dependant on how much drops for you (including junk drops).

I’ve made as high as 1G per hour but that depends entirely on how many yellow items drop for you. They sell on the Trading Post for 15 – 30 – 40 silver each. On the low end, I can make as little as 70 silver per hour.

Realistically, expect to be making less than 1G per hour of dedicated farming. If you expect more than that, you’ll find yourself quite disheartened much of the time. Earnign gold in this game is embarrassingly bad; which ironically, makes the Gold Sellers services seem much more enticing.

With dungeon farming pre-nerf made a littleover 100g just straight farming on my 80 between selling mats, ectos from rares, vendoring, rewards. Now…it’s like 2g if i’m lucky from farming events/mats in orr.
