The title says it all: How much xp do you need to get from 1-80?

I need to know this so I can set myself a daily goal if I am to for example reach level 80 within two weeks or one month etc.

Does anyone know this, or know of a way to calculate it? Note I’m not the math razor, so advanced formulas ain’t my strong side :P

you could quantify this, but the issue is that xp gain is directly proportional to your level.

What i mean by this is…. say you do a lvl 40 event at lvl 40 you will receive lets say 1000 xp. Do the same event at level 80 you will receive 10000 xp. Both of these would be x% of your required amount to level. Thats not completely accurate for some things, as they are fixed, but as a general rule its true.

I would suggest you just try to achieve x levels (or part of) per day, rather than a set number of xp.

Just my advice of course, feel free to ignore me, but it works for my levelling

I would approach your XP goal setting in this way:

The game is geared towards exploration, you earn XP for finding PoI’s, way-points, vistas, etc. and the dynamic events Era mentioned above. Plus you earn additional XP for every100% map completion. Also you have a Personal Story that provides large XP boosts as you work through the ‘chapters’.

Set a goal of map completions over a certain time period, i.e. 1 map per day or 1 map every 2 days, along with following your personal story. You will be leveling up so fast, your head will spin …

PS. Don’t forget crafting. It is not a major XP boost on it’s own, but does add up …

I’m not saying I can achieve this daily goal from level 1 onward, I’m saying I’d like to know what the maximum xp you can get is, so I can distribute it and set myself a daily goal, scaling of course as I go along.

this is kinda what im saying capn… if you were to say get the whole xp needed for 1-80, split into 80 days. This would mean you level 20 times on day one, then 25 times day two and then at level 70 you would just shoot 1 mob to achieve your xp for that day

As bri says as well maps, PS and crafting too good for levelling.

i just think you may be overly complicating something, when xp is linear i would aim to be the same, i.e. get 2 or 5 or whatever levels otherwise you will take 24 hours to achieve day one, and 2 seconds to do levels on 70+

The end-goal I wanted to achieve in this thread however, wasn’t to find what “works for levelling”, but how much xp from 1-80, nothing more. It’s not hard, I just need someone with a level 80 character reading off how much xp they have on their levelling bar.

Leveling is so fast in this game. The game isn’t about leveling. Just play it and the levels will fly by.

Instead of setting daily goals of achieving x amount of xp, I would recommend something like “I want to go explore x area today. Or do x dungeon.”

It will be much more enjoyable and you will probably level faster. I’m trying to stay on track with my personal story, but I keep getting more levels by doing other stuff. Kind of a funny “problem” I am having :P

To answer the question: Adding up the values on the table here, I came up with the answer 4,859,959. This means in two weeks (14 days), you’d have to earn 347,140 exp/day to reach 80; for a month (30 days), 161,999 exp/day is necessary.

Keep in mind that you continues to receive XP and “level up” (getting skill point) even after hitting level 80 at about 250.000 XP per skill point

The aim from the devs point of view was to have you level faster 1-15 than the rest of the levels.

They wanted levels 15-80 to take 60 – 90 minutes each.

I’d use that as a daily play guide, aiming for solid levels rather than xp amount as someone stated earlier xp scales with your level.

starting out 347,140xp will take more time per day at low levels than it would to get the same amount at later levels

That is, assuming I divide all the xp equally between every day, which I won’t. Thanks anyway
