Guild Wars 2

I was wondering how you take screenshots in this game? I know about print screen but as far as i understand you can only have 1 picture at a time? I want to take more than one without overwriting anything.

Just keep pressing “print screen” it will save pictures individually everytime you press it.

It doesn’t overwrite them.

If you want something a bit more sophisticated, try “greenshot”.

Well with Windows 7 mine are saved in my “Libraries/Picture/Guild Wars 2/Screens” folder.

Depends a bit on your version of Windows I think.

The file names will be “gw001.jpg” “gw002.jpg” and so on, so you can do a search to find out where it’s putting them.

I’m using Windows 7 as well but mine are C:\Users\Admin\My Documents\Guild Wars 2

Is there any way to change where they go? I’d really like to put the folder somewhere else but I can’t work it out.

I think they will automatically go to the Screenshots folder in your GW2 file. I have been told that it stops saving them after 900 shots.

What I do is keep a separate file where I want it, called GW2Screens, and inside it I have subfolders for each month as well as a Chatlogs folder for screens made simply to preserve RP logs (wtb chatlog function to save text from chats without having to upload images all the time!). Even my lazy self can manage to cut/paste a pile of screens once a month to clear the main Screens folder.

If I select a screen for uploading, I save it with a descriptive name in the custom folder so I can find it later.

If you use “Greenshot” which is “ctr/print screen” you can specify which directory to save the files to.
