How do I link a weapon in chat that I do not have. I’ve seen many people do it

I am wanting to post some weapons off the TP into my guild chat

use the data base website. For example
http://www.gw2db.com/items/63469-twilight
and on that page
Chat link: [&AgHwdwAA]

^ copy/paste that chat link into your chatbox

Alternatively you can link weapons from merchants or the Trading Post the same way you would if they were in your inventory. (Hold down Ctrl and click the name.)
