There’s been a few times I’ve been able to claim a camp, but lately even that seems like I am unable to.

I know full well you can’t if someone else has it.

I am GM to the guild, so obviously I have permissions.

A camp I just ran to, had no one claim it. I tried to claim it, had no option to do so. Someone else came along and claimed it.

I’ve tried claiming a keep before, I got the message “You do not have permission” No one else owned the keep.

I would like to ask how then? I’d say perhaps you would need to have a certain amount done to claim one, since I only just walked up to the camp, but there’s been occasions I’ve walked up and just claimed it.

Is it just buggy and I need to wait for kinks to be worked out, or is there a special knack (other than being first to the keep claiming NPC)

Also, what does the guild actually get for owning a full on keep? I know you can upgrade it with cannons and stuff but does the guild get influence per hour for owning it? is there any benefits aside from fun in defending them? Thanks!

I believe you are required to be in the force that attacks the keep.

Well, I know you aren’t required to be part of the force that takes the keep. I claimed one last night and I hadn’t been in there since the day before.

It just seems buggy. It’s often when I am in other servers borderlands that I have this issue too.

Sometimes this error is caused by you not representing your guild. Your guild tab will say that you are representing your guild, but other players will be unable to see your guild tag. If that is happening, NPCs will not recognize that you are in a guild, which prevents you from doing guild related stuff like taking keeps or changing the guild emblem. I’ve had this problem happen once or twice closer to launch but recently it pretty much stopped happening for me.

You know (to above, I can’t seem to quote) but I was wondering myself if it has to be on “your servers” borderlands, but I rarely join mine since it sucks as I hate snow, so I’m not sure that would be true.

Also I’m pretty sure I just ran up to a camp once with no one around that we owned, and claimed it.

So, I guess it must just be bugged, but it seems others can cap it so I do’t know if I’m doing something wrong. Since I’ve capped a camp before, I doubt it.
