Vigil, Durmand Priory or Order of Whispers, I’m level 41 and joined one of these orders but I forgot which.

How do I check what order I joined?

I want this char to have armor from Order of Whispers once I reach 80. What happens if I joined the wrong order at this point? What are my options?

Check your login screen? Do you remember who your mentor is? Tybalt? Sieran? Kernsson?
You can look at the wiki to see which is for which order.

If you’ve joined a different order, your option is to level another character and have them join the order of whispers, transmute the armor you want onto a blue or white non-soulbound piece of equipment, log into your charr and transmute it onto the armor with the actual stats you want.

At level 41, if you are up to date with your personal story you have already joined an order (you do that round level 28). You prolly need to talk to your mentor in your personal story. As Alyssa pointed out you can use the wiki to check out to wich your order your mentor belongs. You will be in the same. It might als be the case that you have done your level 39 story-phase, wich means you have a flag on your log-in screen.

Durmand priory has a blue flag with a black key.
The Vigil have a black flag with a white flame.
Whispers have a red flag with a yellow reverse snowman

As Alyssa said, your login screen will display the banner for whichever order you joined. But even without that, your order figures prominently in your personal storyline. At least that’s the case with Whispers; I imagine it’s the same with the other two.

(I fully plan on joining and playing through the storylines for all three.)

To further expand upon this option, the mission with the title “A Fragile Peace” is one that everyone goes through. If you view the mission listed just above this, the very last line of text (no matter the mission you were one) should say “I also joined the _ order”

A fragile peace is the first Vigil mission, people who took Whispers or Durmand would have Stealing secrets or Dredging up the past. So not everyone has that.

Hi all, my login screen didn’t display that info until level 43 or so (I’m lvl 46 now). Thankfully I joined the right order. Clicking on ‘my story’ did not tell me up front which order this character joined.

The way I figured it out was seeing that my char completed the Stealing Secrets mission. That’s the mission the wiki pointed out is in line with Order of Whispers. I do see the OoW banner on my login now but this alone wouldn’t have been helpful if I had multiple chars past level 30.
