Hi,

We were doing Cathedral of Silence events and fingting Grenth. His has this special attack that throws people to the sky and you take falling damage and die (usually from 2nd fall). Stability does not seem to work and before you know it you see people around you all dead :P. Don’t know how often he uses that attack or what trigger him to use it. I was reviving people and got thrown to the sky too. Any hint would be nice. Thank you ^^

Hello BB,

I was in the group this morning on SoR who downed that bearded SOB. Notice that there is a time interval between the sparse red-circled attacks and the all out launch- of-death. The only bit of advice I have is that a few of us kept a mental timer going and ran all the way back to the stairs at the end of the interval —just before the launch-of-death.

Also, while at the stairs we would throw some AOE heals on stair-guardian Jonez. As you stated, stability, as well as “50% reduction in fall damage” trait, did not work —no help from the food buff that mitigates 20% of cc damage either.

This morning reminded me of why I spend 99% of my time in WvWvW. Good luck!

Hi Bishop,

So the attack has an interval? That is good info! We will try your approach again using the stair. BTW, is it safer just to attack from range? I died meele so I couldn’t tell the attack range. Thanks ^^

The 50% reduction doesn’t work? I wonder if that’s a bug, because it seems like it should count. I was in there last night and gave up after the 3rd time the event failed. I was going to try again today making sure my build had the fall damage reduction this time, but it sounds like that won’t be worthwhile.

If everyone brought in mass res skills, at least that might help get people up quickly and back in the fight.
