I’m fairly new to the game and am just now able to do the ASC Dungeon.
I was wondering what the most effective way to find a dungeon group is? I’ve tried typing on the map chat but no one replies. And I posted asking for advice on the Dungeon forum but the people were sort of rude…
I really want to try out a dungeon for the first time

everyone uses this. no one uses anything in-game. there isn’t any real in-game support for this… yet.

You might want to take note of the names of those that were rude to you so you don’t accidentally end up in their party some day. If they were rude answering a question on the forum just think what might happen in game.

If you’re on a N. American server, I will be glad to go with you. Just send me a whisper if you see me on, and I’ll see what I can do.

Some people do still form groups in-game. I’ve done it a few times, but I think the website is quicker because it’s cross-server. But it’s much easier if you’re on at your servers peak time.

It’s also helpful to join either a dedicated dungeon guild or a friendly, active guild (note: they all advertise as friendly and active, you might need some trial and error to find one that really is) who will be willing to join in.

I’ve also found it helpful to tell people it’s your first time and you’re not looking for a farming/speed run. A lot of people seem to assume all dungeon groups are farming runs who want people who already know it off by heart so a lot of people who actually want to join won’t even ask, and the people who do join get frustrated when they learn that’s not what you’re doing. Every time I do a dungeon I tell people I’m just looking for anyone who wants to come, but especially people who haven’t done it before so we’re all in the same boat and it’s worked great so far.
