Hi there,

I played this game in beta & release but soon after stopped because i was only interested in the PvP aspect of the game and that was just way to annoying because i had the invisible enemies deal going on all the time. Another thing that really annoyed me was that i had to run a dungeon over and over to get those dungeon badges or whatever they were called to buy the armor( or basically the sigil thing ) to get the best available stuff for my class for WvW.

I haven’t been playing this game since 2 or 3 months after release. A buddy who still played told me that the invisible enemies problem was gone, but at the time i just didn’t have the time on my hands to get back to GW2.

I am downloading the game as i am posting this, but while that is slowly happening, i wanted to know if the getting Gear thing still works the same that you either have to grind that one dungeon that has the sigil set you need / buy it at the Trading Post or if something changed in that aspect of the game.

Well you can get most sigils/runes on the TP, though some are still obtained only through dungeons. If you haven’t played for some time you may want to check out the particular part of the forum for whatever class you play to find out the “meta” and run something similar, but tweaked for your playstyle.

Good luck! I hope you enjoy the game now!

You can also get armor with badges of honor, which you get from killing stuff in WvW. there are multiple stat sets for you to chose from once you are level 80.

Go to Citadel. At the back of the hall opposite the Asura gates there is a WvW laurel vendor and a bunch of merchants selling WvW gear for a variety of levels and currencies.

It’s your one-stop shop.
