How do I get this armor titled “Rubric”?

Wow nobody knows how?

But that’s for PvP armor.
I want that armor for PvE.
I saw someone wearing it outside PvP so it’s not exclusive to PvP.
Someone help me!

Please someone help me with this.
It’s for my main, I need this armor.
I want to look pretty.

I don’t care if I have to bump this thread every 3 days to find an answer.
There has to be SOMEBODY on here with an extensive knowledge on the whereabouts of light armor in Guild Wars 2 and I’ll be kitten if they’re ain’t ONE SINGLE PERSON that can shed light on this.

Might check google and see if anyone has done the research. Most people with those lists are done on other fan sites.

I did a google search for you. The only info I could find was a tiny little blurb on ign’s site.

“Rubric armor is given as story rewards and drops uncommonly from enemies in level 40+ areas.”

I obviously did a google search before asking this question. I refuse to believe it drops from level 40+ areas because I have farmed such areas with no results. If anyone can prove me wrong then I would gladly continue to farm such locations. As for Story Rewards, I’m done with my Story, so it’s a no-go.

Also sure that farming in this game is slightly difficult with the anti-farming features like reduced returns.

Maybe you might wanna try and Trading Post (Sorry if this might be redundant to say if you have already checked :P)

Yes I have checked the trading post. Such armor doesn’t even exist on there.
If it did I would have bought it all by now.

Do you not get my LINGO? I’m level 80 right now. I just want this for looks I’VE ALREADY DONE MY PERSONAL STORY.
… Man this is frustrating this isn’t even a rare or exotic armor set.
Why can’t I get my hands on it? Where the hell is this armor set?!

after searching the internet for like 2 hours trying to find it, i have concluded you can only get the chest in pve

If the chest is from personal store odds are the rest of the set is as well.

There is no clear answer to this question so I’m leaving it unanswered until someone is able to debunk all the mystery surrounding this armor set.

I ran across a player’s “blog” (I guess it could be considered) named Dulfy. He seemed to have a pretty extensive data base of the different armors. Lost the exact link but it popped right up when I put in a search for “Charr” cultural heavy armor. That wasn’t the only set he had cataloged though. There appeared to be all the cultural and dungeon sets listed of light, medium, and heavy inclusive, PvP and PvE. Give it a shot. It IS out there on google, I can assure you of that much. If I recall correctly though, the sets and skins reached as far back as BWE3 when the armor “preview” feature was first unveiled.

I’ll check around for it if I remember and re post when I get to my home computer and find it but trust me it wasn’t hard to find just try adding that name “Dulfy” to your search.

Clear Answer: you currently can not get this armor set in PvE

Necroing this thread because I have the light coat, and I’d really, really like the bottom half to go with it.

In PvE the set is the light Stalwart’s armor, in particular:

These pieces are apparently offered as storyline rewards.

When I got the coat I didn’t realise it was unusual, but with trying to put together scholar armor to suit a more demure character this became one of my regularly-transmuted items. It looks as though I missed the pants when they were offered to me, and since the piece seems to be Soulbound on Acquire I’m currently stuck… but ever hopeful that there will be a way at some stage.

There’s a niche for more scholar clothing for human and Norn women that’s somewhere between “I’m just doing a little light mining on my way home from belly-dancing class” and “I found this sack in a Dredge mine”. This set is one of the options in that niche (probably nearer the Dredge end, but at least it has shape!).

You get the chest piece in a lvl 40 or so story reward and the leggings much later also as a story reward lvl70 or so- I have no idea where to get the rest.

i think i got a rubric gloves or something in fractal but its exotic. but i dont really remember the name because I salvaged it. will check later on my wardrobe for the skin

I was actually wondering this morning if Achieve chests have been tweaked now that there is not PvP gear. I have the Rubric skirt thanks to an Achieve chest some time ago, and the top is a PS reward so I have that. Not sure on the shoulders — but if the Achieve chests still drop a pile of random skins, you might get lucky?
