Hey guys I grabbed the wrong laurel accessory. How do I get a refund on it? Is there a support tab I can go to to ask the devs for a refund?

As far as I know you can’t get a refund

I’ll guess that’s just .. kitten happens.
They can’t give a refund on people making mistakes with in game currency.
I accidentely sold my super shield skin: “arena net gimme ma shield back”.

You don’t get a refund, if you bought the wrong item you just have to deal with it. Luckily those items are not soulbound on purchase so you can still give it to one of your alts.

I bought the wrong fractal back by bad luck and lag, no refund. I got a new one and got it about half done.

I contacted them via a support ticket, and they said they couldn’t because they don’t have any sort of tool like that, or something to that effect, but if they build one, I could petition again at that time and they would (or maybe that was ‘might’) do it?

I didn’t press the issue. Mine wasn’t a ‘horrible’ mess up. I got the right base stats on a necklace, but accidentally got a defense one instead of the utility kind.

Having said that, I did have an experience in ‘another’ game where I persistently asked as nicely as I could, putting forth very logical arguments as to why I should be given an item, or the opportunity to go ‘back’ and get an item that was only available in starting areas (RIFT) and after several (5-6?) tickets over a period of time (3-4 weeks?) I finally got someone that gave me the item I really wanted because I was apparently so passionate about it (and they were probably really tired of seeing my tickets, but since they were really nice tickets, they couldn’t get mad at me?)

So, give it a shot.

Doesn’t the game prompt you with an “are you sure” before you purchase the item? If that’s the case, and you still bought the wrong item…that seems like a mistake that’s no one’s fault but your own. A suck it up and deal moment.

This is like reading the agreement when you pursache a Ipad XD

If they started doing refunds for misfires on in game purchases they would have to hire 200 people just to deal with all the requests. I know it sucks but I would wager that everyone has made at least one huge mistake on a purchase. I do it constantly because I get in a hurry and don’t pay attention. That’s my fault, not the games.

For some reason that window didn’t appear for me (probably because of lag or bug). Still no refund, but I’m not whining. 7 more days of farming and I got my fractal relics again.

I recently bought a ring with laurels instead of a neck piece. That was an entire month of work down the drain, eh?

Don’t buy Ascended gear unless you’re well-rested! :P

I don’t see what is so hard about a buyback button at the vendors, similar to when you sell a bunch of stuff to a vendor and you have the option to buy things back if you accidently sell the wrong thing, would just be the reverse of that. Wouldn’t need to hire any additional support people and problems like this would go away.
