Is there a way to obtain the weapons required for making a legendary that don’t involve gambling or TP? Because I heard that throwing in 4 rares or exotics has a chance on getting one of the weapons, but that seems like a massive item sink and a waste of time, because you only ever get kittens in return.
The other way is buying it on the TP, but when prices go up +10G a day thanks to botters and exploiters inflating the market, and I make less than that in 1 day, I don’t think that’s worth shooting for.

throwing 4 rare/exotic weapons of the same kind (so 4 greatswords, or 4 staffs) wich are for level 76 or above into the forge makes the base exotic weapon needed. afaik there is no change of getting the legendary that way but afaik if you throw them in, you will get the base exotic weapon 100% sure (aka ingredient 1). to make the legendary you also need 3 other components. 4 exotic of the same kind only gives a chance of the legendary precursor, it’s not guaranteed. There’s a video on youtube of someone trying 28 exotic greatswords, and ended up without the precursor at all.
