So I was playing my guardian (whom I’m sure is cursed because I always get the worse games on him), and we were behind, one of the other players decided to give up and stay in the spawn area, moving only to not get akitten. Was in a match the other day where someone had a similar tactic, they’d stay in the spawn area, until they were called out then they just ran to the middle of the map and did literally nothing but feed the other team.
I’m pretty sure neither of these are particularly competitive, but the report system seem to lack any ability to report them. Are these acceptable? If not what can I do?

I believe the normal tactic is to report them for spamming or something else and hope the dev’s will notice him afk/suiciding in PvP.

There’s no report function for leeches / afk-ers so far.

If you are talking about sPVP, in the code of conduct for GW2, number 22 is:

“While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.”

So I would report them, with screen shots.

I believe “Botting” is the go-to report for AFKers in PvP. But yeah, the easiest way to report them is in-game.

This is one of the few times I would actually like an extra report option. My guess to why it hasn’t been implemented is that leeching isn’t a huge issue in GW2 and perhaps Anet anticipate that a “PvP Leeching” report option would be abused when somebody is upset about losing.
