Is there a way to get your sigils back from a karma weapon or wvwvw weapon? Before the patch this was possible by using a transmutating stone to be able to salvage the item – get back your sigil or rune and use on your newely crafted ascended weapon/armor (or w/e) for example.

But after the 15th april this seems to be impossible, since you can now only change the skins on your weapon no matter what stats it got.

In short, does it mean that i’m stuck with for example superior sigil of force on my weapon that i bartered in wvwvw and have to buy a new one for my ascended weapons that i’ll craft soonish?

So the only thing i can do with it is to destroy it or mystic forge it if i’m not going to use it anymore?

You will need an Upgrade Extractor which is available at the Gem Store.

Make sure to compare the cost of the extractor with the cost of just buying a new rune. I am given to understand the extractor is overpriced in most cases.

I don’t know of a case where it isn’t more expensive to get the extractor. Gold to gem conversion winds up with an extractor costing 20g when you buy them in bulk, 25g when you buy them individually.

Now, if the extractor was 1k gems and was reusable…

superior sigil of generosity and >+9 AR infusions are the only cases where extractor is cheaper.

Yeh, superior sigil of force is about 7g and the upgrade extractor is at this moment when i write 23g 20s so not really usefull tbh in my case.

Bit sad, guess it end up in the mystic forge then maybe and hope i make a profit out of it.
