Hey all,
I’ve been disappointed in the lack of access to clips of dialogue audio from GW available to the public, so I wanted to record a few myself just to have. I have Soundflower and Audacity, and have followed the correct instructions I’ve found about how to record audio off your Mac, but for some reason Audacity, and QuickTime as well, won’t pick up any audio from GW.
I’ve tested both Audacity and QuickTime to make sure they’re working with Soundflower, and both properly pick up all other sounds on my Mac, but when I switch back to my GW window and test a few sounds for it to pick up, I return to the programs and stop the recording only to find it recorded complete silence.
I’ve scanned a few forums about recording GW content, but most are focused on recording the gameplay itself, and I only need the audio, people have mentioned they use Audacity to capture audio, but not the specifics on how. Technically I could use my OBS, and see if I have a program where I can separate the audio from the video, but I’m wondering if there’s an easier option to record just the audio while I play the game.
Does anyone know how to do this, or what I’m doing wrong?
Thank you for your time.
