Since I don’t know which mechanic video would cover it and google/search didnt help.

Is there any special rules for how to get a reset of a fight? Like a specific distance/time until u start regening your hp in pvp. does it help to sheathe ur weapon to make it happen faster?

Generally speaking it’s a combination of distance + time. I have no idea if there’s any guaranteed formula to get a reset but seems to be 10-15 seconds ooc and 1500-ish units away from enemy.

Now one must note that any lingering conditions on you, or applied by you will keep you in combat until they have worn off.

Also sheathing weapons does nothing for this, no matter how much people like to believe that to be true. You might also find yourself being in combat for ridiculously long times for no apparent reason which is the main reason that leads me to believe there isn’t any ironclad rule as to when a reset will happen.
