How would I split the transmutations now with the wardrobe system so I get both armors back?

You can’t. Players were suppose to do that before the patch dropped and they eliminated splitters from the Gem Shop.

Yes but I transmuted post patch. Now there’s no way to reverse it?

You couldn’t have transmuted post patch. All you could do is convert stones/crystals into charges. After the patch all you can do is skin.

After the patch there was no way to transmute by combining two items into one. Your only option was to use the wardrobe to apply the skin from one item onto another.

If you mean you used a skin item (like the gem store armor skins or the holographic wings) then you can get the original skin back on the item you combined it with by equipping it and selecting it in the wardrobe tab, then selecting the skin it used to have. This will cost 1 transmutation charge.

You cannot get the skin item back, but you can put that skin onto any other appropriate item on any of your characters in the same way – equip the item you want the skin on, open the wardrobe and select the skin you want to use. This will also cost 1 transmutation charge.

Well I skinned the t3 over my ascended after patch, I thought it was still transmuting since the armor says transmuted on the bottom. Was wondering how to restore the original ascended skin. I just use more charges and apply the ascended skin again?

Yes. Open your Hero page and select Wardrobe, click on the piece of gear you want to change, select the skin you want, pay the transmute charge and voila!
