The game always asks me about the that im wasting 0 transmution charges when changing color
and also, how many will I need to seperate my heroic edition skin from my armor?

when you go tho your hero screen – wardrobe you can select skins you have unlocked already and apply them to your gear, for every piece you need 1 charge

changing color is completely free

you dont need to seperate your heroic edition skins from your armor, you get 1 free use of the skins when you also get the armor, if you want to look the same way longer but upgrade your gear when you lvl you’ll have to go to your wardrobe (H-equipment-wardrobe) and use transmutaion charges
(I suggest waiting with how you look untill you reach lv 80ish, to save up transmutation charges)

you will unlock armor skins when you equip/accountbind/salvage or use the stuff in the mystic forge, so most skins will unlock for you w/o you having to pay a lot of attention to it

you can get transmutation charges from completing maps 100% and daily login rewards
