Guild Wars 2

So. Where the heck is this thing?

As far as I can puzzle out
1. It should be in plains of ashford (the other boss events correspond to the starting zones, and then the 3 dragon champions. Only the hydra queen and plains of ashford are leftover)

2. Most of these bosses appear in area’s with constant progress updates. For example, the swamp (both queensdale and caledon) constantly say “all is peaceful” or whatever until the event starts. Likewise with all the dragons, the reactor, and I assume the ice elemental.

Keeping this in mind there’s only 2 places in Plains that I found matching these criteria.
1. The duke barradin vaults. – As far as I can tell there is no Hydra here during the battle for the vault event.
2. Foefires heart – As far as I can tell there is no Hydra here during the battle for ascalon event.

Those are the only 2 spots ive found that match up to the other world boss area’s. But neither seems correct. I’ve also never even seen a normal hydra, as far as I was aware they dont exist in this game.

Anyone found (and killed) this mysterious beast?

I got her yesterday. the name is deceptive she’s actually a pirate champion in bloodtide coast (can’t remember her name), she was near the laughing gull waypoint on the ship with the skill point in it.

I got it after defeating her, which to be honest I didn’t expect. I expected it to be a water creature. so call this an accidental discovery.

That’s… really weird. But thanks for the heads up. I guess im off to do that now.

I did believe that the name was perhaps a title rather than a bestiary classification based on the lack of hydra’s. But that is not keeping in line with anything else I would have thought of.

is there some specific lore or large event chain associated with her that I must have missed? Seems like a weird boss to just give an achievement to :/

if there is I’m not sure what it is. I haven’t spent alot of time in the area to be honest and was actually going to the skill point, but she was there so I thought “why not?” (like you do). if there was a chain before her I missed it.

there is a lack of hydra’s, but I was still thinking more along the lines of the blood witch than a pirate
