My main is a male Charr Mesmer and I have yet to see any other besides myself. Ever, not even in beta. If I ever do happen to spot one, I plan to form a support group so that we both have shoulders to cry on. I think I’ve only seen one other Mesmer who was male (a human).

Anyone else feel like the token of their race/profession?

Im playing Sylvari and Ive seen plenty of us purple plants running around

I played a Char Mesmer on one of the Beta stress tests. I thought I was awesome for the few hours the server was up!

I’ve seen plenty of Charr Mesmers. They look neat.

Maybe there’s just not a lot on your server and/or at the time(s) you play?

I’m guessing a ferocious, militant race of hellcats and pretty, purple mesmers don’t go well together in most peoples minds.

I get this. I laughed and cringed when I saw the Charr Mesmer on character creation screen for the first time (in the end-game gear) but in-game I grew to enjoy it in beta when I chose it rather randomly.

There is also a rather prominent Charr NPC in one of the storylines.
If your father is an honorless gladium, he will be a mesmer.

My first character, and highest level is a male charr mesmer.

I guess people that want to by a dress-wearing-purple butterfly-magic person generally don’t like being big, mean, war beasts.

Or people that generally like being big mean beasties don’t like being flimsy purple butterflies.

…I like both.

Charr mesmers were nasty in GW1 btw…

Nah, I’m just about to make a charr Mesmer myself and for that exact reason – I haven’t seen many around!

I haven’t gotten around to it yet since I’m focused on my Asura main right now….but I plan to play the other races eventually and I’m considering going with a Charr Mesmer. That video a while back with all the Charr Mesmers had a part to play in that.

So I’m dying to know – if you have a Charrzooka and use mirror images and decoy, do you have three clones blasting your enemy with fiery burning death? That’s bound to startle people in pvp!
