I dont know what class to play ?
Maybe a thief would be good for you
I would be more than happy to help you figure out a class and explain how PvP/PvE as well as learning how combat/class/skills/traits/ and builds work.
Just contact me on Skype.

Since you said you liked shamans and rogues in WoW my three suggestions would be a dagger/dagger elementalist, a thief, and a DPS guardian
If you want to be able to fight more than 1 in wvw id highly recommend engineer. As Engineer im able to fight and often kill 2-4 at the same time. Engineer is really diverse and feels really hybrid kinda like shaman does, really entertaining to play.
On the screenshot you see 3 dead ppl i solod + 1 dead guardian you dont see behind the house. None of them where low level (underleveled) either.

You mean person killed mah friendz
Full melee Ranger since August 2012
If you want something like the elemental shaman, i’d recommend Engineer since the turrets resemble your totems. Yet the shaman flavor is completely different.
If you like fire and earth magic, I’d recommend you the elementalist.
If WvW and fighting against multiple enemies is your priority, Id recommend a Mesmer since you can stealth and choose your fights using portal and other utilities. When you fight groups of 3+, the average intelligence of the group decreases exponentially and the clones get equally better.
I’ve seen very strong Rangers but most of them lack a sustainable defense. So if you are willing to put a lot of effort into your build, id recommend you Ranger as well.
D/D ele has great surivabilty and pretty good sustained damage and its not that hard at all to play compared to S/D or staff.
Mesmer is also worth looking into, as you get a lot of the same surivabilty as thieves do through stealth and micro-mobility (teleports and evasion and whatnot), and its a very interesting playstyle if you go the shatter route. The main issue is that it can’t stay on capture points very well in pvp.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
