Yeah..
First i bought abyss dye and celestial dye for my thief (long time ago), i also geared it with full exotic, etc, then my build got nerfed, and S/D got buffed so much its not even fun, so i decided not to play my thief anymore..
Then i had this human warrior i bought abyss dye for, but i wasnt satisfied with the race, so i created a charr warrior instead, which i also bought abyss dye for.. this charr is awesome, and its geared up with full t3, and i still don’t regret it..

Thief doesnt bring much to the time anymore, and i already got another warrior that i like..
But how can i get the most use of my 2 classes i never play?

Don’t know about the warrior, but do you do much PvP or WvW. Thieves are pretty solid in those activities.

Well, i used to do lots of PvP, but the thief doesnt have many viable builds which i like anymore, i used to love backstab build, but it got nerfed, and i dont feel like playing the OP S/D build, but yet again.. the thief doesnt bring much to the team..
I actually heard thieves are only good for roaming in WvW?

Roaming or small group play. I’ve had people play against me, who lured me into an area with a couple of cloaked thieves and got my kitten handed to me.

I truly don’t see the S/d as op, only as mainstream. That means the average joes who are okayish in the game use it. A d/d thief is still very vialable, but it takes a bit more time and effort to make it really good. Off course the backstab abillity is gone, but that was OP and unfairly balanced. Playing the game shouldn’t be the same akitten a button and win. Every possible tactic should have a counter. This is now the case with backstab.

B ut that doesnt make d/d thiefs useless. They are still very good. The s/d might be easier to play, but the d/d can excell more (if you are good).

And for future reference maybe don’t buy expensive cosmetics like Abyss dye until you’re sure you want to keep the character.

Spec them differently, gimmick/experimental specs and such.

Just think outside the box. Thief has some fun and viable builds in pve, pvp, and wvw. Bs wasn’t nerfed, the buffs going into bs were which some were justified while other’s wern’t. I have full exotic and full ascended trinkets on thief and I don’t feel any weaker since the nerfs (bs can still hit for 9-11k.)

Warrior is really solid in wvw, could try it there. Sadly, the soul bound dyes are quite annoying. Wish I could share my thieves dyes on my account, since I got almost all of em (abyss was 8g when I bought it). One day perhaps…

Just think outside the box.

The one thing I learned from Moto is to think INSIDE the box.

Use your knowledge of a class and trait up. Play around, have fun, do your own thing. Use other builds as templates if you don’t understand your class.

I see D/P way more then S/D these days at least in the high end tourney streams ive been watching. S/D is builds are far from op, they are fun to play tho.
