Yes, people RP, and Tarnished Coast is known as one of the agreed-upon RP servers. Taverns are a good place to encounter people RP-ing on that server.

I’d suggest highly finding a GW2 RP guild if you can. That’ll give you a good start at least.

Tarnished Coast is the unofficial US rp server and Piken Square is the unofficial European rp server.

There is a forum for GW2 roleplayers here http://www.guildwars2roleplayers.com

This might help you to find a guild or meet up with other roleplayers on these servers.
