I just really can't pick a class
Well i gues you could start with making a Norn so you can atleast still shape shift ones you hit level 30 http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_norn_racial_skills
and i am guesing the ranger is kinda nature related with spirits of the wild and stuff >.>
but nothing that really plays like a druid.
I use my lvl.35 elementalist for many a few different roles. DPS, CC, and healing are easy to do with elems. Plus the different weapon sets can determine how close you are to enemies, from in their faces to the back of the group throwing AoE’s. Scepter/Dagger is what I usually use since it ranges from mid to short range, and the skills on secondary dagger are high on damage.

It wasn’t really about the shape shifting, it was more about the ability to be any role when ever I wanted, if I wanted to be a melee DPS I could pop Catform, if I wanted to tank I could pop bear, Ranged DPS I could pop Owl, and I could be a tree healer too boot. It just made it so if I got bored with a role I could switch to literally anything and be able to do it at a whim.

Guardian is a very versatile class, they can tank decently, heal decently, do damage decently, so forth
The only thing with guardian is you have an extremely limited range of ranged options correct?
get a dice and just roll it, assigning a class for a number. it’s just that there are 8 classes and only 6 sides to a die so, be creative :P
@nilla
yes by limited they only have 1 range weapon, scepter. It’s not too bad though, some classes have it worse (engineers, only 3 weapons and all range (except shield) :|)
I’d personally say choose Elementalist, for straight-up during-fight role switching. Every weapon set has AOEs, single-target dps, control, and heal/support. That way you can pretty much do anything you want.
Also, Ele staff has the most combo fields in the game. No class even comes close to 6 combo fields in a single weapon set (except /maybe/ guardian, but that’s all Light fields).
