I'm a noob. I'm level 35
Do you have a guild? Seems I have less time than I do things to do with my guildies. There are always things to do for me grins
no guild
15char….
If I may suggest, either take a look through the guild recruitment section and f ind somewhere that will suit you, or take a look through the Operation: Union thread on Player’s helping Players (also in my signature) Having people around you, you might not be so bored.
It’s possible that this game is not for you, just putting that out there now. But I hope you find yourself enjoying it with time! Operation Union, which Kiteisa mentioned, is a good place to start looking for people to play with.
The cliché with GW2 fans tend to give new players is that you should slow down, explore, and focus less on the levelling and more on the journey. You’ll get exp relatively easily in this game, and there’s no reason to rush to endgame, so feel free to poke around different areas and such.
Also, don’t feel limited to open world PvE as a new player. In Lion’s Arch there are portals which you can enter for World vs. World (3-way PvP between servers on large battlegrounds), and although you’ll have some disadvantage as a non-max character, it will jack your basic stats up to the equivalent of level 80 (you can also do PvE there, and get very good drops sometimes). At the top of your screen where the icons for inventory and stuff are, there’s a crossed swords icon – that will give you the option of going to structured, arena-based PvP, where you can have access to all the skills and traits you’d have at the level cap. Plus, at level 30 you will have unlocked access to your first dungeon. Have you tried it yet?
Hope you end up having fun with one or another of these suggestions.
first off all, your not a noob.
Secondly, like stated before you might want to find a guild.
thirdly, like also stated this game might be not yours. Even though it sounds like blasphemy, it is true that not everyone likes it. Maybe could you describe what you are doing in the game, how you are leveling. what experience you have in other games and why you didn’t found them boring.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!

This.
Seriously, Guild Wars 2 isn’t an MMO you can walk into with the same expectations as, say, WoW. It’s not about rushing to max level to start the dungeon grind, it’s about experiencing everything the game has to offer along the way as well. Just take your time, explore a bit, and don’t be afraid to go somewhere you haven’t been before. And if you can’t find an area that’s your level, go back to another race’s starting area and try to complete that map. You’ll get leveled down and still earn experience and loot.

I just jumped right in and started following the golden hearts. Completed the first two zones 100%
That’s all I’ve done.
Make some new characters so when you get bored with one play another then come back to the first one later.
Crafting is fun too and you can make alts to supply any character you may have.
Only played for a short time so maybe you have not learned how versatile this game can be.
Create 5 different characters and races and even buy a few more slots to play every class.
Yeah I really just have no idea what to focus on lol
Don’t care for other classes I’m gonna stick with necromancer.
Just, no idea.
You won’t know if you dont try …. beats boredom.
I never play Warrior but loved it on GW2.
I agree with you. I’ve tried all the classes.
I just prefer nercro.
ZERO clue as to what I should be doing in the game. Final goal? Is there even one?
I don’t care for wasting time or enjoy the journey to end game. Why spend months working on level 30 contnet if I’m just going to have to repeat grind come end game?
I want to get 80 as fast as possible and I want my character to be prepared as well.
I don’t wnat to encounter a problem like I hit 80 and cannot do something because I didn’t level some professoin up, or get some repuatoin up or complete some class quest.

No worries. There is no content except crafting that requires you to have crafting, no factions to gain reputation with, and you don’t get barred from dungeons or anything else for not doing your story quest.
The main things to do at the endgame are explore the world, gear up to full exotics, get Legendary weapons, do dungeon runs (optional but helpful), do high-level Fractals for a challenge, do WvWvW, do SPvP.
Have you ever followed your Personal Story missions? There’s some green text on your screen, upper corner, it should direct you to the next step of this chain of missions.
Did you know you can jump right into structured PvP from the get go? Just open the hero panel (H) and click on “go to the heart of the mists”. After a brief tutorial you’ll be in a pvp lobby where you’ll instantly have max stats gear and be lv 80. Be warned tough that your early games can be a bit difficult, especially if your opponents are experienced.
Have you tried WvWvW? It’s a 24/7 war where three servers fight over objectives such as castles and keeps. It’s not really solo-friendly, especially for a lower level character, but if you find a small ( or big ) group it can be great fun.
Have you done dungeons? You can enter Ascalonian Catacombs at level 30.
These are just some of the possibilities. Be warned tough that there’s no special “end-game” content so if all those activities bore you, the game might not be for you. Just out of curiosity, what is the “final goal” of your dream-MMO?
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”

As stated, WvW is a pretty perpetual endgame if you’re into it. There are monthly updates with major events (every month so far). There’s a lot of content of various kinds around the world – I got to 80 long before I was done exploring and trying stuff out, and I still haven’t finished my personal story.
So no, there isn’t a clear endgame you are aiming for – this is it. That’s why we say don’t grind your way to 80, because all you’ll do is miss out on having fun on the way to 80. That’s not to say you just ignore your character after you hit the cap – but GW2 is the kind of game you can just exist in, doing whatever is current at the time or whatever comes up. It’s not so much the kind of game where you dedicate your evenings to the fervent pursuit of a goal.
(If you want more of a challenge, try PvP – WvW or sPvP, either way it’ll give you a reason to master the game).
Maybe its your profession that bores you.
I remember at first i was really bored because i was a mesmer everyone i asked reccomended it saying its strong and very fun to play. For me it was attack and copy yourself and thats it.
After a week or so playing because i kept thinking it would get more fun and it did not i switched to guardian and man is it a blast running into enemies with a greatsword to their face.
Not saying choose a guardian but choose a different class for a prototype character and test it out.
I’m going to guess you started as a human or a char. The reason is the dynamic events in the starter zone are….well average. The human area is supposed to have a wow-event, but it is buggy at the moment. My advice would be to do the asura starting area called metrica province.
Explore it all and do the hearts, then when you are at the reactor check if the fire ele is there. It was my first world boss and really amazed me. Als, find out where the start of the metrica province jumping puzzle is and try to do that. Those are soem activity’s not very above the surface when you start in e.g. the human area.
