Guild Wars 2

Hi! I just got the game for x-mas(x-mas noob x) ) And the launcher isn’t even done installing (30 minutes 0% ^^‘). I know that I’m going for the gaurdian class and I want to know general things to do at first! Thanks for your help!

Don’t listen to One Prarie Outpost lol, guardian has so much more potential that using the boring old greatsword. But hey, if you try it and like it, more power to you. -My advice right off is when you load into the starter zone, let everyone know you’re new and ask if any events are up near the beginning.
-You may or may not want to get a guild right away, but if you do, advertise yourself.
-A guild is a very powerful tool to have in this game.
- Many people (myself included) will craft you a starter set of armor for free, but don’t beg for it, thats bad form (starter armor is lvl 5 minimum, so you’ll have to do at least enough work for that many levels, which is about 15 minutes of play time lol).
-Make a friend that shares your interest in playstyle that you can run with. I have friends that aren’t even in my guild that I regularly run with and we have a blast. Many shennannigans have been had on our adventures. :-D
-For lower levels, especially guardian, focus your gear and stats more on survivability than raw damage (vitality and toughness) because you honestly won’t be able to stat for enough damage under 20 to make a massive amount of difference, and it’s better to be able to survive, trust me. A little power here and there won’t hurt though.
