Guild Wars 2

I’m a level 71 ele right now. I don’t know what to do… I tried to go to the straits of devastation but I can’t seem to do enough damage or survive AT ALL against the hordes of risen that are aggroed if I sneeze a mile away. I heard it was supposed to be “group” content but I have noticed that other people are far and few between in these upper zones (plus I don’t want to be forced to group with people just to do simple pve quests). I think it might be partly my gear as it is at or around 60ish I think, but I can’t afford anything nor can I craft it. I tried to do WvWvW but I had the problem where A) our server recently experienced a ton of people leaving, thus weakening us and now we always lose, and B ) the armor repair cost was greater than double any rewards I ever earned there. I feel like I’ve hit a wall and have nowhere else to go except slowly grind my way there and that just defeats the purpose of the rest of the game that was fun and fast paced.

And yes, I know I’m not the best player and that is why I have to pay so much but that isn’t something that can magically be fixed by saying “get better loser”. How can I keep up with the content?

However if you just want somewhere to play and don’t want to feel like you’re grinding mindlessly, you could try going back to lower level zones around other races’ cities. You’ll get down-levelled but you’ll still get exp for events and exploration, and there should be plenty of people around. It might be a side track rather than progression, but it would give you something productive to do for a bit!

Failing which – find a guild, bring some people with you. More people usually helps.
