I need help choosing a class.

Hi! I just bought Guild Wars 2 and I have no idea what class to pick. I’m looking for a class that has high DPS and is fast. So basicly I’m looking for a class that can finish fights really quick. Is there any classes that fit that? Thanks for your help in advance!

The thief is a good choice as long as you keep his gear up. Replace it every five levels (if you can) or you will get owned. You will need to be very careful about how many foes you draw in. Once you figure out how to play a thief you may like them. Personally I don’t care for them at all. Too fragile.
