I need your help :)
Hey GW2 Community,
I want a legendary iam farming as much as i can but i work have a wife and also like to play WvW and Spvp instead of farming the rest of my spare time after work.
If you want something you need to work at it like anything else in life. If you really want to farm for a legendary then you should stop playing wvw and pvp and spend more time farming. I, and I imagine many others on this forum, have jobs, wives and even children, but you don’t see anyone else begging save for a few people here or there.
What is it with the internet that makes people do things they normally would never do? Would you walk the streets and beg people for money so you can buy a Ferrari?
(No, I don’t really need an answer to that question. It was rhetorical.)
Threads like this should be deleted immediately by the mods.
If it isn’t specifically forbidden in the ToS, it should be.
Why should it be “forbidden”? Not everyone is a no-life hardcore player. As much as I personally hate people asking for gold, I can understand said people sometimes asking. Or even items. Just because you dont like people asking does not mean you say others are forbidden and should be put in ToS. There is a reason for this forum thread “Players Helping Players.”

Just because someone makes more money in the game than others, it does not make them no-life losers. It is very easy to farm mats and gold in this game and everyone is responsible for doing it themselves. If you don’t have the time to dedicate to farming for what you want, then lighten the load in your life and play more, or even play a different game that you have time to get the things you want in.
I said it in another post and I will say it again: Would you walk the streets irl and ask people for money to buy a Ferrari? Would you laugh at that person if you saw them do that or give them money? No, you would tell them to work harder to make more money to buy it themselves.

If you take into consideration that you are working/have a job, and earning money. i think that makes your question “will you beg money for ferrari” invalid as you are already working…

No, the point is, you are begging for money to buy a vanity item. I used Ferrari as an example. Feel free to insert whatever you would like in place so you can wrap your head around what it is he is actually begging for.
The monsters ingame will gladly donate gold to you. The best part: you don’t even have to ask them for it. Just give them a bash on the head and they’ll drop it for you.
“I wanna get a reward without doing anything?”
What the hell is wrong with some people..

I have never had a precursor drop for me, and I’m not complaining. I will get my Legendary at some point, though. I haven’t even really started down that path yet.
By the way, OP, ArenaNet is aware that precursors can be hard to get, and have been bouncing ideas around for ways to give players better access to them. There was talk about a scavenger hunt, or even the possibility to craft them, but none of it has resulted in anything being added to the game. Yet.
Still, world bosses (Tequatl, Orr temples, Claw of Jormag, etc.) and even the new Champion loot bags have a (minuscule) chance to contain Exotics, and thus Precursors. The statistical chance to find one has already gone up (a little) since launch.
The point about Legendary weapons, though, is that they are HARD to obtain. So NEVER expect that Precursor to just fall in your lap. Just like if you buy a single lottery ticket, you should not expect that it will make you a millionaire. It may happen, but you need to work to improve your chances. Getting the Precursor is NOT any easier than any of the other 3 things to transmute in the Mystic Forge.
Oh, and in response to the original question: No, I will not give money.

So basically: “I can’t put the same time in as other people but I for some reason feel like I should get the same rewards anyway”.
It’s a vanity item, you don’t NEED it to keep playing the game. this is the attitude that ruined WoW – everyone has shiny purples and I don’t, waaahhhh, make it easier to get shiny purples so I can have then too so I don’t have to put the same effort as other in!
