I think base movement speed should be increased
That’s what Way Points are for, if you want your movement speed increased, play a thief or an elementalist.
Play an Asuran
The movement speed is relative to the race you are playing. Norn and Charr feel sluggish but Asuran feel like you are booking around everywhere. It’s an aspect of needing a constant speed between races but a size difference of the race.
I’ve noticed that larger characters seem to move slower, but don’t really, its just a animation thing. For example, my Asura seems to fly and jump higher than my huge Norn, but they don’t really.

i am playing a thief. i almost feel forced to use signet of shadows always for the movement speed and when i turn it off i feel like i just got a cripple condition
I agree. The general movement in this game feels way too slow. It makes my A.D.D. want to pull me away from my computer. About a 20-25% increase would be better with some options in gear to make it faster.
