I want to play every event in the game
Wiki has a good listing of every event for each zone:

Lots of longer chains lead to world bosses. You can track them with timers for example from this site, just choose your server and enjoy
Keep in mind that for events it is nearly impossible,
There are events now-a-days that almost never spawn, the so called back up events.
These events are there for when a map is very very busy. If that is the case, the time it takes to complete events is shorter, so the result would be lesser events you can encounter. Also the events would all be too easy to do. That is why there are some events that only happen when it is really busy. a few examples:

many off these events havent been seen since launch when starter area’s where overcrowded
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
^^ this:
Even if you manage to trigger an event, it’s unlikely that anyone will come to join you and most of them are (almost?) impossible to solo.
Take for example the quest to obtain Quaggan Tonic – nice, fun thing to have, it’s a potion that turns you into a cute baby Quaggan for a while. To get it you have to perform an escort task that gets progressively more difficult until you find yourself trying to solo a champion, it’s poisonous/ immobilising spawns and the all the locals around Fort Trinity. Good luck with that.
There are also some events that only trigger when things go the other way – not one is completing them and multiple events fail. Some of these are relatively common, like some of the ones in Orr, others are almost never seen like the ones when the centaurs start taking over Queensdale.
But if you want to try and do as many as possible the wiki is your best bet to find lists. It might also be worth making a note of maps with events that require a very high or very low population, so you can keep an eye out for times when these might occur. For example if the Living Story sends people to a specific map.

My guild does that one on a frequent but irregular basis in order to get quaggan tonics. Although I’m not sure if that will continue now the everlasting quaggan tonics are in the game.
