Hey guys,

I’m visiting my mom for a week in Philly. I did bring my computer down but in the event I get a new computer (which I plan on doing) or play on a different one, is this possible or do I need to purchase the game for a whole new system again? I feel like anybody could just share an account through different computers which would enable the company to not allow the game to download on another computer if you have it already on another system.

I haven’t tested it, but I am pretty sure you just login to your account and download the client. Let it download and use your email to login to play. The right of ownership is based upon the login with email. You should have no problems downloading it on another machine to play as long as you still use you r same account info.

You access the game by logging on it with an unique account name and password. How the game files are installed matter much less than from other (generally single player) games. Basically, you didn’t pay for the game files. You paid for a key associated with a single account only you (or hackers :P) have access to.

Got it, thanks for the hasty reply. My computer could definitely use some work technically, so I’m either going to replace everything or just get a new machine.

I’d probably refrain from logging in in Philly at this point. It might not set off alarms since people do travel the USA regularly – but if it’s just a week, better safe than sorry (to set off “hacked” alarms for your account and thus get added to the needs-to-be-unbanned queue).

I’d be curious to know what parameters they use, but knowing could lead to exploitation so perhaps better left unsaid.

And I just built a new desktop after having played on my laptop – I just re-downloaded the client (I tried to just transfer the folder, but either you can’t do that or something went wrong while copying because it didn’t work) and have had no issues.

Well, shouldn’t he get that e-mail with a link to allow him to access the game, if his IP address was changed?

if you have an external hard drive, just drag the files into that, and then put them on the new computer. log in and play. I just got a new computer, worked flawlessly.

What Gorgrim said was accurate, I play on my home computer and my laptop on the go. download the setup file, run it, once it starts downloading the files kill it. Copy your .dat file from your original installation location and restart the game .exe. You should be golden. I don’t think there will be a “hacked” issue with playing from multiple locations as you have your authorization, if there was, simply email the team and boom, you are back in. Don’t worry to much about being flagged as hacked if you are the real owner!
