I’m not especially computer literate so I don’t see why you think this is a scam. I see you have a problem with your computer and you have a post in tech support. How do you know it’s not just another player who read your post and has the same type of problem and is asking for help in filling out a support ticket?

If you are suspicious but want to see if its a player asking for help, have him PM you in the forum and you can safely discuss his problem there.

he is requesting how to get info on a computer, not the info itself. it would take a foolish person indeed to make the leap to sending an example of what that info would include.

A while ago I was wondering why almost all scams you see have horrendous grammar and spelling, so I looked into it. They do it so only people foolish enough to fall for it will respond. scammers may send out 100,000 emails, it would be a lot of hard work if they got 100,000 replies about where to get info of their computer, many of which will probably be links to ehow.com, not to mention a drain on their resources. Instead, they word it so 99.9% wisest recipients discard it as a scam (all of which wouldn’t fall for it in the first place), leaving the people who would fall for it. 0.1% of 100,000 is still 100 replies. much more reasonable. then they copy/paste a generic reply, probably something like “thanks for the response, I still don’t think I have the right info, what does yours look like?”

It looks to me he doesn’t know how to contact tech support and asked you to tell him how to fix that problem once resolved. Just PM him on the forum

People who aren’t native English speakers are also prone to use bad grammar.

Tell him that you are unable to help him but to contact support. A Spanish speaking person there can help him with his problem. This way you won’t hand out your information and he gets help if he needs it.

I have no idea how I have to send all the information what the technicians are asking for

Implies that this person is already talking to support …
Judging from the posts by support on the forum they give step by step instruction on how to get and send the information they ask for.

This post would have been removed, if I was not right.
