I’m torn between if names are completely unique server wide or not. I’m thinking of transferring to a server but I don’t want to lose my names in the process :-/ thanks <3

The names are game wide. Given i can go and play as a guest on any server without transfering kinda makes sense.

When did they enable guesting? Has been disabled from launch and I have seen no announcement that it was up and running yet.

You 100% most definitely will not lose your name. (unless its offensive or against the Rules of Conduct in which case you may lose it if someone reports you).

Its not actually guesting. I group with them then they just transfer to my zone. So far only done this with people from Isle of Janthir. Im from Sorrow’s Furnace. But i’ve grouped up with someone from maguuma as well. He was just over in his wvw at the time so obviously i couldent transfer to him.

Oh, I didn’t know that was working yet either unless you mean they transfer to an overflow zone with you (different cup of tea there).

Names are unique across the entire game, probably for this reason (and WvW).

So no you won’t lose it.
