Im confused towards the End Game of GW2?
The purpose to play the game is because it’s fun…
Why did you level up to lvl80 in the first place? Did you enjoy the events and contents you where doing? If so then continue that and also try new professions out. Do what you like, what’s considered fun to you ingame.
However, if you are one of those who just grind stuff, this game has nothing to offer to keep you interested because it’s NOT that kind of game.
Get on and play the game for fun, do what u enjoy because the Endgame starts at level 1 and continues beyond.
Ive never looked at it this way tbh
alrighty thanks! ill start an alt maybe or something

Also you can always game with me and my friends anytime you wish!
We also do lots of Training in combat for pvP and other crap.
You are welcome to join us! I’m ingame now =D
The problem with all experienced mmo-players is that they expect that the game starts at lvl 80. In GW2 is is part of the game to get there. And through the downlevel system you keep on doing the same stuff when your level 80 or start an alt.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!

I agree with the having fun part (game is fun, just play, to have fun). About the grinding, there is plenty of it:
- Grind for coins
- Grind materials
- Grind badges (for armor, accessories, etc.) of all types [dungeons, over and over]
- Grind laurels (for armor, accessories, etc.) [dailies, etc.]
- Grind events, over and over (for karma, loot, etc)
If you are into grinding, this game is just for you as well. It has a bit of everything, for everyone.

When I say “There are no grinding” I mean every content you do for fun, rewards you for it.
What you listed above are just reward types you get from contents you play. And you can play any contents you like and still be rewarded.
(Example:)
You are NOT grinding when you are just exploring and gathering materials when you see them. It’s part of exploring and it helps you be able to craft or sell stuff during the journey. (Part of the game)
You are NOT grinding when you are doing different dungeons with your friends that you enjoy. This will also give you rewards.
You are NOT grinding if you get to choose your dailies because they are
(Content you like to play for the day) which you can change up and get rewarded for them.
You are NOT grinding if you are exploring the Open World PvE and enjoying events as they happen with friends or even solo. You get rewarded for it just by participating and having fun during the journey. Exploring different places while events change it up is what makes events fun in my opinion.
Of course there is MORE… etc
But my point is, you DONT have to grind.
Grinding isn’t playing…
Grinding is Rushing…
Just play the game and enjoy the contents you love and you will get rewarded for it!
It really depends on whether you’re a “destination guy” or a “journey guy”.
A destination guy wants out of end-game some kind of tangible reward to chase. He’s going to get to the level cap as quickly as possible so he can begin pursuing that reward. In Guild Wars 2, destination guys typically run dungeons or Fractals, work towards Legendary weapons, pursue world completion, complete achievements, join WvW, or participate in PvP.
A journey guy wants to enjoy the game without any thought to a specific goal. They’re the guys who don’t mind replaying lower level zones that they enjoy and are more apt to roll alts. They want to experience as much of the world as they can, and usually don’t fret over the pace at which they do so.
I guess what I’m trying to say is end-game is whatever you want it to be. If you want to chase a goal, pick one and go for it. If you just want to enjoy yourself, keep doing whatever it is you find fun.
