Im having a hard time with class choice.
If you think you’ll have the most fun with an ele, then play an ele. There’s no reason to save it for last if you’ll have the most fun playing it.
There’s a lot of people who only play one character and no others. So, if that’s what winds up happening for you, then so what? Enjoy the game, ‘cause that’s what it’s there for.

Well im hoping to get more then one class out of this game.

Leave that for the future… play the ele ‘till you’re really ready to try/play another class, and worry ‘bout it then. By then you’ll likely have a better idea of what you want to play as an alt. Who knows, maybe that’s when you’ll prefer a non-magic class like engi or war as a change of pace? edit: Or find a new love for your 80 guard…

Well lets wait and see what others say first, as I said playing an ele first is a last resort thing, I appreciate the advice but I dont think thats the best plan for me.
Necro doesn’t have to be full condi. Run a full zerk build with Staff + Axe/Warhorn. It’s super fun to play pve
If you like dps/support hybrid Druid is the way to go! Longbow + Sword/axe wtih frost spirit utility and all the Glyph’s is a great way to provide support while dealing good dmg. + you are kinda like a pokemon trainer, you gotta catch all pets :p
Finaly Ele is by far my favo. I started with warrior, necro and mesmer as my mains and only made an ele 6months after release. But since then I only played ele
It is just so much fun running around blowing stuff up.
ele is epic Pve and Wvw (pretty boring pvp) + The skill rotations are easy, the dps is crazy and just overall good fun to play!!!
So you deliberately want to have less fun by avoiding the class you know you’d enjoy the most? Don’t get it.
I also struggled with chosing a “main”. Always favor ranger-like classes, made the mistake to google the typical “what class should I chose” and got overwhelmed by how disappointed the community is with this clkitten
up rolling a ranger anyway, lvl 68 now, enjoying it.
Back to your issue. Go with ele, this game offers so much content, that you will not run out playing your favourite class. And if you still do, only because ele has a ton of skills to choose from doesnt mean its the most complex to play. I believe you can still find pleasure in other classes/builds after playing an ele.
This is coming from a fresh player though.
