I was wondering if anyone knows if you can -image GW2 like you could with Guild Wars. As I remember it it downloaded everything to your PC and made load times near instant. I was hoping this could be done with guild wars 2. I would try it but I’m away from my PC for a bit, so I just wanted to know so I can set aside the time to do it. Thanks in advance.

Since I didn’t play gw1 I’m taking a wild leap on what you are asking. While gw1 was soloinstanced wherever you went gw2 is not, thus making the zones loadingscreen last longer since all the players is in that zone. Just compare Lion’s Arch to Iron Marches.

Yet again. That’s just my thought so my answer would be no, sadly you can’t.

There is no point in using -image for GW2 since the launcher now forces you to download everything before you can start playing. In GW1 that wasn’t the case, it would download the data as needed when you load into a zone.

Basically it is already doing the equivalent of -image already every time there is an update.
