I somehow got Spark on my first try at the mystic forge with daggers and decided that I was gonna create the legendary, though for the Vial of Liquid Flame it requires me to get 100 Molten and Destroyer Lodestones, this whilst annoying, is somewhat good aswell, it’d take the “Legendary” out of the weapon if 500 people were running around with it. But my question is, where can I farm these Lodestones, im quite strapped for cash at the moment, so farming is my only option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To create this one specific Lodestone you will need to combine 2 end-tier Molten cores, 1 Bottle of Elonian wine, 1 crystal and 1 tier6 Dust. Put these into mystic forge adn you will get 1 Lodestone.

I used 4 random exotic daggers bought from the trading post in the Mystic forge, they were ranged from 70-80. And it just popped out. I know I can do that technique, but is there any actual way to farm them?

For example, killing certain things to get the to drop from them

Unlike Molten Cores, Lodestones are not crafting (not a regular ones at least) reagents so it is impossible to get them from mob (&chest?) drops. It is definitely very rare reagent and I am actually shocked by the number of requested Lodestones in the recipe oO

Can you confirm that you have bought the pattern for 10g to craft Vial of Liquid Flame and the pattern says that it requires 100 of both lodestones? All the info I have seen on Incinerator on the web indicate only 5 of each being needed.

Well that weapon will certainly be epic! I hope they keep the requirements this high. I like having a long term goal to work towards.

I bought the recipe and can confirm the 100 Molten Lode- and Destroyerstones.

The only thing I’m searching for now is how to exactly craft the Spark. I would appreciate an inbox message if someone knows this.

Good to know Daari. The only question now is, where do the cores drop?

The 2 places to get destroyer stuff endgame is the dredge merc camp in WvW when the claiming even is up, and the explorable mode of fire-heart rise I think??? it might be the other one I get the dredge / flame legion naming dungeons mixed up from time to time.

I know, at least, of the Citadel of Flame where the Molten Cores drop. I did even get a Molten Lodestone once there. Note, both drop only in the explorer mode, the full lodestones obviously extremly rarely – I ran about 40 times through it and got one Molten Lodestone, and about 13 Molten Cores. Note also that the Charr-Carvings drop there also, or rather can they be found in the chests.

So, I was tempted to test crafting the Spark with 4 exotic daggers, but I just can’t afford wasting 2,5g in case it doesn’t work. That’s the price for the cheapest exoitcs in my TP.

@Daari, my suggestion for Spark is to take up weapon smith if you havent maxed it already, and craft the exotics to stick into the forge. I dont know about your TP but bones are really cheap, ectos are coming down in price and rest is fairly easy to gather yourself. Or atleast that was my game plan.

The Trading Post is global, meaning that it is shared between all servers.

Actually, a friend of mine looted a Corrupted Lodestone from one of the mobs in Frostgorge Sound. We were doing the event up near hotw where you have to rescue the castaway kodans and he got it randomly after looting one of the mobs we were killing.

I would imagine if Corrupted Lodestone’s have the ability to drop, the others would as well as all of them are used in the creation of legendary weapons. However, I cannot 100% confirm that the others can be collected from drops since this is the only one I’ve seen get picked up from a drop.

@Lysidian, I have it on 390 so far and I can’t “waste” my money currently without knowing with certainity that it will work. I will keep you updated here though. Please do the same.

There are multiple reports of people (including screenshot proof) getting the Legendary precursors (like Spark) randomly from both the Mystic Forge (combining 4 exotics) and even from random drops.

The fact is, until we figure out the actual recipe (if there even is one) the only way to get them is through dumb luck. If you’ve got enough money, the least time-intensive way of doing it is probably going to be throwing a whole lot of exotics at the Mystic Forge and hoping for the best… but you might get it on the first try, or you might never get it.

thanks for trying to help. I don’t know how often I kind of stated it, but I don’t want to deal with luck there. I’m looking for someone who knows the recipe, of course, as I said a couple of times. Thanks nevertheless.
