Instance Party Politics
have you tried dulfy? I haven’t played the instance recently, but the last time I played it through dulfy was accurate.

Maybe you can be more specific about what you are experiencing. Other people haven’t had any trouble finishing the instance or the achievements after following Dulfy, the wiki, or other sources.

I did find that one but I couldn’t tie it up to the events themselves. I couldn’t find that first noble, nor see any co-relation with the actual layout.
It was made all the more confusing by the wiki giving a very different scenario.
There also seems to be 3 different achievement levels, which are also rather different.
I can only assume there are a number of different ways to get through this one.
Since it relates to parts of the story which are no-longer available, I was hoping someone would know what was going on.
Thanks anyway. I’ll just have to take trial and error I suppose.
Both Dulfy and the Wiki look accurate to me. They’ve giving the steps in a different order and give different instructions on how to find the people you need to talk to, but neither of those is wrong (you can speak to the people at the party in any order).
They’re also both quite sparsely written and would maybe benefit from more detailed steps, but I was still able to follow it and I think it should make more sense if you were actually playing the instance at the time.
Trial and error is absolutely an option here. As long as you remember which options you picked in each conversation so you don’t keep repeating the same mistakes you’ll get through it. (If it was me I’d write down what I tried and whether it worked, because I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes so I’d definitely end up picking the same wrong option each time.)
But if not I think you should be able to complete it by picking one guide and working through it step by step. Do one thing it says, exactly as it says to do it, then read the next one, copy it exactly and so on. It’ll be tedious but it will allow you to complete the instance. And fortunately there’s no time limit here and if I remember correctly no combat either so you can spend as long as you like on each part.

I’m impressed that you know everyone who has completed this instance so far.
Such a self proclaimed expert as yourself might garner even more glory by offering some positive suggestions.
Or perhaps you prefer the position of troll under the bridge?
Perhaps you might take a step back and recognize the difference between someone trolling and someone trying to be helpful to someone who hasn’t provided any details at all.
If this story were bugged, people would post about it, ask for help in /map, file bug reports. We don’t see those. Consequently, “people” aren’t having trouble. That doesn’t mean it’s bug free; it doesn’t mean it isn’t bugged for you — it just means that the vast majority aren’t having the same experience as you are.
The wiki provides a complete walkthrough for the instance itself, with a somewhat harder-to-follow explanation of how to get the achievements as well. Dulfy provides a more detailed walkthough. You said that you tried to follow these but you didn’t say where things got stuck for you.
As a result, it’s nearly impossible to make a constructive suggestion other than asking, “maybe you can be more specific” and pointing out that it generally works, so whatever is going on is going to be obscure, i.e. not easy to figure out.
I’ve just played through this instance following the walkthrough on the Wiki and I was able to get the achievement, so it is working and the walkthrough is correct.
As I was doing it I also edited the walkthrough to add more detail on exactly where to go and which dialogue options to choose. As I said before it was correct but pretty sparse, it only specified which option to choose when it could raise your suspicion, not when you had to choose the right line to reach that point. I didn’t include what to pick after the key question because in every conversation you were only given 1 option from that point on.
If you still can’t do it please can you let us know exactly what part or parts you’re stuck on? As Illconceived Was Na said your posts really don’t have any information on what you’re actually having trouble with, and I can’t remember the last time someone asked for help on this instance so (unlike some story steps) there’s no obvious bits that lots of people get stuck on.

I’m pleased that you have managed it and don’t doubt it was a reasonably simple matter for you.
But it isn’t for me and I was only asking for some help.
Sheesh!
Did you read beyond the first paragraph of my post? We are trying to help you.
You said none of the walkthroughs made sense, but didn’t explain why other than that you can’t find the people it says to talk to. I agreed with you that none of them was very clear, but I can’t change most of them. The only one I can edit is the one on the Wiki, so I chose that one and re-wrote it from start to finish to make sure it says exactly where to go and who to talk to at each point.
I think it’s a lot clearer now, but as you have never said what exactly you were having trouble with I don’t know if it has addressed your problem/s. So I also asked you to let me know if you’re still having trouble.
If you can say “I got to the part where you have to find Minister Estrelle but she’s not here” or “Every time I talk to the noble who says she’s being made to retire it raises suspicion no matter what option I pick” or anything to narrow down what the problem actually is I, or any of the other people who have offered to help, can tell you what you need to do.
If you just want to rant that’s absolutely fine too. But we can’t help with that.
