Internet Connection Issues

Im also stuck with U-verse and have no connectivity issues, but I dont have anyone else playing Destiny at the same time.
Does Destiny use that much bandwidth, or was somebody downloading or patching?
Maybe try temporarily moving the PC closer to the access point and avoid using the repeater to see if the problem persists.
Or try using a different wireless adapter/card, maybe that’s malfunctioning.
When Ive had wireless signal problems, Ive always had really good luck using an old wireless router set to client mode as an adapter, and wire directly from the PC and console to the client mode router.

I went and moved my internet from downstairs to upstairs.
I’ll watch how my connectivity is over the next couple of days. I am no longer connected to a repeater, but to the actual router/modem.
Do you use the uverse given modem/router?

Id recommend getting a hardline for your pc from the router. Even though I have a wireless one for printers and ipads and phones. I would always use a hard line for my pc to avoid connection issues.

Yeah, I had loads of issues with the wireless in my house even at like 2:30 AM when I was the only person awake in the house. Go wired and you’ll never go back.

No, I don’t use the Uverse wireless as that’s only Wireless G.
I have a Cisco Wireless N router attached to it.
Though with the slow speeds from Uverse (18Mbps in my case), I think wireless G would actually be fast enough. I get a better signal from my own router, plus there aren’t enough free wired ports on the cable modem with all the crap they hook up to it.
Of course hard-wired is always better, but unfortunately its not always feasible.

Sadly it’s not feasible in my case.
What do you mean you connected another router to it? Does that mean the connected router is the main one now and the other one shuts off?

Both work, but all the wireless devices connect to the Cisco wireless N router.
You can turn off the wireless signal on the uverse router/modem, but its not necessary if you dont have a lot of wireless channel clutter in your household.
Basically just run an ethernet cable from one of the ports on the uverse router to the wan/internet port on the extra router and set it up as an access point.
