…are they supposed to be this common? I get a mob halfway dead and it decides to turn invincible and run away from me while regenerating health rapidly. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? It’s can be extremely frustrating.

I understand that, but it seems to be random when they decide to get bored with me. I pull them, move them a bit, get them under half health and they decide to leave.

You’re lucky that they ran away, I’d had mobs go invincible on me and continue to attack me, both on land and in water, and this was with minimal moving around.

Unfortunately this is a buggy part of the mob leasing system. If that happens, my best suggestion is to try to physically move to a slightly different area. Sometimes the mob is bugging out because of a specific area that it’s standing over, so getting it to chase you to a new area can help. Other than that, I don’t know what else to say. I do find that water combat tends to be the most notably buggy when you’re fighting near the surface or near a physical wall.

We are Test Group F. (Don’t ask about what happened to the previous Test Groups.)

It’s not always clear when you’re standing somewhere that the mob is going to consider unreachable, thus causing it to slip into the invulnerable state. It’s a real pain with ranged characters because it’s so easy to trigger. If you want to make sure they stay vulnerable, usually standing right beside them when they reset will do it. It usually just takes a few seconds. Easy-peasey for melee characters, but kind of dicey for ranged specialists.
