Guild Wars 2

The other day when I was up in WvW, a group of us hit an Enemy camp and there was a lone NPC that was invulnerable. The NPC stayed invulnerable for quite some time after all his comrade NPC’s were dead and our team kept beating on him to no avail. I think he had some sort of tag that said [Guild]. After some time the invulnerable went away and he dropped in about 2 seconds.

Could someone explain what the story is on this NPC or point me to the appropriate /wiki page as I could no find anything on it there?

Check the buffs that the NPC had. They’re are invulnerable for about five minutes after the resource has been flipped.

You met a Veteran Supervisor. Their names in-game contain the phrase “Guild Claiming”, meaning that to claim a camp for your guild, you talk to the Supervisor.

Each supervisor/lord of the camps, towers and keeps have an invulernable buff that lasts for 5 minutes after being captured (Righteous Indignation)This prevents the other team from flipping the camp/keep/tower right after you do. Your server gets to keep it for at least 5 minutes. Sometimes you’ll see in chat that X tower, or camp has Y amount of time left on RI. This is what they are referring to.

There are some third party apps/websites that allow you to see what the RI countdown (if any) is present on any of the camps, towers, or keeps. VERY useful for roaming/havocing.

Look for the blue flames surrounding them to signify Righteous Indignation. (People will generally just type “RI” in chat) You can see the buff from a distance.

Sometimes though there is a bug and they aura does not appear for some reason. Clicking and checking for the buff to make sure is always the best option.
