Iron ore runs
Not for Iron ore, but I like to run around Timberline Falls, starting from the top left corner and just going south to about the krait larder. There’s at least one rich platinum node, and you can also get a few seasoned wood logs too
Diessa Plateau starting from the Black Citadel gate. Farm around the town and then move east to the town that always has the Giant in it. Should find plenty.

The Brisban and Diessa routes mentioned above, along with Dostoyoev Sky Peak in Dredgehaunt Cliffs, are where I go if I want lots of Iron Ore. Note that the last may not be to your taste if you hate fighting Dredge though (it also varies. Sometimes you’ll find 2 Rich Nodes plus 3 – 4 other normal ones inside, other times only a smattering of normal nodes).
It helps to have a lot of alts. I have 11 80s and search a good route in Dredgehaunt cliffs that gives me maybe around 40 ores in 5-6 minutes. This is mostly a route where i run the first part on Server A, and run back on Server B.
Of course i mostly have to search a good route each day, since there is mostly a reset of the zone in the night. Good thing on resets are however that they also reset all timers on rich nodes

I usually go from north to south along the far east border of Lornar’s Pass. This run doubles as an Iron Ore and Silver Doubloon run.

Looks very efficient! thanks for posting this !
So ive been doing this for the past 3 days I think.. and I noticed some nodes dont respawn.. is the mine timer based on when you mined it or during server reset?
Rich nodes? I believe that timer is based on you, unless the whole zone reboots due to a patch.

Yea, the rich nodes are not based on server reset. I’ve always taken the 24 hour rule of thumb.
Use the rich-node map and get used to the node locations and the run will be fairly quick and you soon won’t need a map. You will also learn where there are node farms that have as much iron as a rich node. It’s a little slower because there is more running around, but there is just as much iron and the respawn rate is fast.
Also note you can do these runs on multiple characters on the same day. So if you had 5 level 80s with all the WPs open you could run the rich-node mines 5x in a day. It might take 3-4 hours to complete on all those characters but people are walking away with 1500 iron ore.
1500 iron ore @ 3-4 silver each? What is that, 45 gold? Prices are way down from the highs when people were making bank, but even at 2 silver + you can make a reliable amount of gold without relying on other people and at a nice relaxing pace – its pretty hard to fail.
I always just put on some chill music and did a few runs. It’s nice to get out into areas of maps and see Tyria that I otherwise might not have. Then at some point prices declined a bit I was ready for a change of pace, but I made a killing and do continue to run rich nodes when I need materials for my own crafting.

The rich nodes with fixed locations seems to reset at daily reset, also you can’t harvest them on more than one server it seems.
The rich nodes with semi-random locations have normally something like 24 hours reset but you can harvest them on all 3 server if you have luck and they are on all at the same spot.
Also whenever zones are resettet because there is no player in the zone, the rich nodes also can be harvestet again even at a spot where you just have harvest them 1 minute before.
That is often funny at 3:00-5:00 in the morning when zones often a resettet and i try to harvested a rich node with all my chars, but before i’m ready with all there is the next reset, and there are maybe again new nodes there

Based on my experience they are not tied to the server reset.. I am still missing nodes today and they appear about 1-2hrs after. at times though I dont complete all of the nodes in 1 run, often I split them up in between world boss events.
If they’re anything like T6 nodes, they do reset with server reset, with one caveat.
If you harvest them too close to server reset (within 5 hours) then they’ll be pushed back behind reset by the difference. So, if you harvest the nodes 3 hours before reset, you’ll have to wait another 2 hours beyond reset before you can harvest them. Harvest them 4 hours before reset, you’ll have to wait another hour. Harvest them 5 minutes before reset, and it’ll be almost 5 hours after before you can harvest them again.
But if you harvest them early enough, then its on reset. So best to harvest them earlier in the day or right after reset if you can.
Mind you, I don’t know if rich nodes do follow the same rules or not.
There are different kinds of rich nodes. Some have a fixed location, those are only harvestable on one server and they do reset like Ori nodes.
The others have semi-fixed spots, so they may or may not appear at some given spots. Those have a 24 hour timer .. but .. whenever the zone is restarted because there is no player left, what is the same as if we have a patch, then you can harvest them again even if they spawn on the same spot.
If somebody knows the Spider Cave in Dredgehaunt Cliffs … there are 2 possibles spots for semi-permanents if you enter from Wyrmblood Waypoint, and then there is another behind them where you must jump down a bridge, or where you can enter from Hessdallen Kenning Waypoint .. that one is a permanent.
