Hello forum, I formed a two man guild, for what purpose whatsoever, and I read on the Official Guild wiki influance point can be gained trough playing the personal story. So I played a personal storyline with my other guildmate, we have the same story (charr), but I didn’t receive any influence. We played from the beginning to the level 28 story quest.

Is gaining influence trought personal story bugged, or is there any other reason I don’t gain any influence points?

Im very frustrated about this, since I played the story for many hours and end up with 78 influence trough other stuff.

At one point in your personal story you will receive an item which will give your represented guild 400(?) influence when used. When you finish your personal story you will receive an item which will give your represented guild 1000 influence when used.

Little bits of influence per individual story mission I do not recall, never paid much attention to what gives influence.

I know about the tomes, you get for completing story missions. However, if you check the Official Guild wiki site linked above you can read “20 Influence for two guild members completing an event or part of a personal storyline at the same time. ".

Hmmm… I know this might be a rude question but… Did both of you represent the guild? This is a common one that is sometimes overlooked. When I complete P.Stories influence is earned for the guild.

Not sure but maybe both players have to be there for the conclusion of the mission? Like when you have the little talks etc. that lead onto the next mission. After the quest section ends 20 influence is gain for my guild (2 man team) so not completely sure…

Yes, both were representing the guild, and I don’t think that was a rude question. And we made everything story related together. Conclusion etc. and it’s not like I gain any influence from the story. Neither do I get the two man Bonus of 20 influence per quest nor do I get the solo award of 2 influence. So no influence at all.

When I normally say that, some people jump down my throat. :P Even when I tried to phrase it nicely.
Hmm. You get no influence even playing solo?! That is weird, I think that may be the reason as when you are playing solo you don’t even get any influence… that may be root of the problem. I assume you have contacted support straight away. A patch on the game is coming shortly so hopefully it is included as well.

Also recommend creating a topic in technical issues or somewhere appropriate in the forums so it can be sorted asap.

The funny thing is I’m not the only one who is not gaining any influence points, neither is my guildi nor any one else I asked about this.
