Seems like after I’ve done my daily fractals and PvP dailys there’s no other way to make gold.

I know you dont want to hear this, but silver wastes, yeah i hate it, but i did make 100g in a day when i did it for 6 hours a year ago, i will never go back because fracs are the way to go, but thats one way

I tried silver waste but I still don’t get how people come up with those numbers. You and many others say you can make 100g in SW or 10g/hr in SW but how? The events only give you Bandit crests, sand, 100 karma and 1s. Bandit chests gives you junk and a bag. Those bags I open on a lvl45 alt and salvage yet I get underwhelming returns. So how is that you actually make gold in SW? Have I just been doing it wrong the whole time?

you can try gathering. problem is you really need a bunch of characters to do it.

I played in SW for 30 min a couple of days back and I got 15 rares.
I entered the map with the zone at 80%,and after we killed VR and the champs,
I couldn’t believe my eyes.
It is RNG of course,but I’ve never left SW without a bag full of rares after a few hours of playing there.
It’s even more loot than the new zones for 10% of the effort.

1. Buy a bunch of level 70-80 masterwork weapons (use buy orders).
2. Upgrade them to rares with the help of the mighty toilet.
3. Sell the expensive rares (greatswords, swords, etc.), salvage the rest with mystic/master salvage kit and sell ectos and materials.
4. Profit.

Used to be able to get plenty of gold in Silver Wastes when their were big chest trains .
Play the event cycle to get shovels run chest train for a bit rinse repeat.

You need to do this to do the next step. AOnce yu get the hang of it and know what you’re doing it goes even smoother. First you want to get gathe around 500 crests, it doesn’t really matter how many shovels, but you can easily get 15+ if you play well from a fresh map from the start of the meta. Once you get these do the following:

- Go to the crest merchant in the encampment and buy Bandit Skeleton Keys.
- Use the LFG to taxi into a map where a chest train is going on.
- Follow the train, the blue dots from party members should help you if you taxed in, otherwise you can just wait at one of the entrances of the camp.
- People will be rotating the map digging Lost Bandit Chests that gives a lot of stuff. You are mainly aiming to gather Embroidered Coin Purses, Obsidian Shards are also a nice plus to have, just throw the Dragonite Ore and Bloodstone Dust away. The rest just vendor or TP, whatever nets more money.
- Get all your Purses to a character at level 53 and open them. Salvage all blues, greens and yellows, TP or flush exotics.

That’s about it. At level 53 you can salvage the materials that are worth lots in the TP, I remember reading somewhere it nets around 13% more than opening them with a level 80 unless you get a good precursor through the Mystic Forge.

This morning I spent 20 minutes farming platinum and hard wood in Sparkfly Fen and Timberline Falls. I don’t know the optimum routes and I did not use any guides but I still made 6 gold in 20 minutes, and that was selling at the “instant” price on the TP. If I made an effort to learn the routes and was more patient with the TP selling I’d have made significantly more so, yes, 10g per hour is easily achievable, maybe double that if you really go for it although it would get a bit tedious after a while.

There are loads of other mats that will also yield a decent income per hour. I guess the secret is to find something you enjoy doing, or at least something that does not drive you too crazy. I can only tolerate 3 or 4 circuits of the SW chest farm at one time so I try to mix it up a little.

Events gives you bandit crests,sand,karma and only 1 silver is non truth.

Anyone who ever did SW knows that’s not how things works.

For salvaging its not level 46,its 53-56,and there’s one more false info,that right there is pure proof of not knowing what to do,and how things works.In that case,you should use google,instead of listening people who gave you wrong and false advices about 46 level salvaging.

I can and i am getting in SW 25 gold a hour and by doing only sw i bought every skin i wanted and crafter Nevermore.

How?Well you don’t just afk and escort those dolyaks.

In order to get max gold profit per hour,you do not stick to one fortress,because that’s 1-3 bags for 4 minutes of your work.Get in middle between Red,Indigo and Yellow,and do all events,run from fortress to fortress,while helping pack of bulls,by clearing their way,in that way,you have 6-12 bags in 5 minutes of your work.When breach start,do not run and afk until VW begins.After you kill your champ.Go and assist other fortress,in that way you will get more bags.

Also,do every VW event,that’s 13 bags more,not only (example) bot lane.

From 0% to 100% with the breach and VW,you can get 40-50 bags,if you doing events as they should be done,not afking bellow that rock in yellow fortress.

Open bags on level 53-56,and use this for a guide,because this is how you get max gold per hour

Next time,please before you start making up things out of your head,in order to get people believe you actually did some testing,and you had no gain and no profit by doing SW,you,only person out of millions,use google.

You can’t do one event,get 3 bags and come on the forums,saying how bags drop nothing,and how you got only 100 karma.Do SW for 10 days proper way,and you will have 5.000 bags and 500 k karma,which you can convert to gold too.

- Silverwaste : Been a long time but you want to do chest farm (don’t know if it work as well now), breach and VW. There is also the labyrinth and the champion after VW which can give good money. Running around doing event is only when you need bandit crest for like chest key or stuff like that.

- Dungeon : Low level dungeon even after HoT could give you 10 gold/hour+ with all the low material. Now I think their price dropped, but Anet boosted the gold reward so it’s still good money. Especially now since it’s easy to explode them with a decent team. Aetherpath give you 100% chance of a weapon which can sell between 3 and 30 gold, but the price will continue to drop so it will eventually sell like any exotic.

- Fractal 40. You can farm the fractal 40. It’s probably one of the best legit source of gold in the game outside of the TP. You just do it over and over again. I suggest you to bring as much karma buff as possible there. You can latter transform the karma into gold.

- Gathering Iron and Platinum are easy to get, several of the rich vein are permanent. The wood also can sell for a lot right now because of the legendary fractal back item.

I’ve seen them having their heal skill in auto cast which may prevent the game from auto-logging them to the character select screen. Another place that I have seen people is in Harathi Hinterlands killing centaurs.

I haven’t personally done any of these so I can’t vouch what the gold per hour is but it appears to be something that can be done AFK. You’ll just need to be on a class such as a ranger so you can use your pets to kill them. You’ll get the various loot bags which can contain the expensive materials.

No random macro. If you complete the Pact Commander mastery, you get the autoloot option in settings. So long as you are near the enemy that your minions/pets killed, you will get the loot.

Correction ; you don’t want to do chest farm these days.Not since nerf,from 35 chests for full circle,to 19-22.There’s not much good chest farms,and there’s no mo those famous chest farm leaders since nerf,and that screaming ’don’t’

Not only you get 22 chests per full circle,but people barely using shovels,thanks to arena net,who allow them shovel trading.People in CF runs,waiting 10-15 sec for someone to dig,and there’s always 2 or 3 guys who link to map chat 250x sw shovels,in order to rest of the group beg them to use those,but they wont.So there you go,in one hour having 40-50 chests maybe.

Dungeons,are nice since ascalon story gives you best loot there is,it is good option if you do not know about sw,because in order to get 10 gold /hour,you need 60-70 chests,which is not possible to do in one hour,last time i farmed.

Do anything that has lots of killing, could be an event or instance, but lot of killing means loot. Break everything down that can be broken down and then instead of banking the materials sell it. That is a very basic way to make gold.

10 gold per hour? Probably not, but perhaps around 3-5 more gold per hour. 10+ probably takes Cash>Gems>Gold or some lucky drops. Cash>Gems>Keys>Maybe?

You can also buy loot off the Trading Post and then go to the Mystic Forge if you are really feeling lucky to see if you can hit it big with a nice combine win!

There is also the ability to take mats and craft something, to sell more refined pieces for more dough.

There also seems to be a bonanza of HOT loot these days, but I haven’t done enough yet to know what the net would be. But it does look impressive and promising.
