A:
Find 1 room in pvp area that is empty then, enter in blue team, and your friend can enter in red team, and whole map is yours until someone comes in… but you will be able to do pvp for a few min, it depends on map, … if a lots of players come change map…
join a pvp room which says duel, go to one corner of the map and then do it

I’ve also seen some people do 1v1 duels in WvW jumping puzzle, the room directly to the left after entering. Although I am not sure if that got removed via update.
