Jewelry from Laurel vendor.
AFAIK no, there’s no way to exchange them at all. One solution if you want to wear them both is to infuse one and leave the other uninfused (not that big of a loss statswise unless you’re playing high level fractals and need agony resistance), that will make the game treat them as different rings and allow you to wear both.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
oh Thanks a lot.
that good idea.
A lot of people don’t know that thought.
We disccused today in open chat for 10 min and no one had idea about it.
They said to me that 2 identical defensive rings wont work together. only if defensive + offensive.
Thanks
They’re labeled as unique which means only one can be equipped at one time.
Just as tip for the future, so that it doesn’t happen to you with other items:
That is what the moniker ‘unique’ means. (Also on the Polly puppet) You can only equip one of these items at a time. Watch out for this and you should be fine =)
Too Late.
I wasted nearly month on jewelry – I am unable to use.
Tool tips failed me.
I am 30+ person with 3 languages and high education. 7+ years experience in Lineage 2 and GW 2 and …. failed to understand word Unique.

I know that feeling. I have a University degree and regularely fail to navigate public transport in unfamiliar cities XD
But as I said, now you know what to pay attention to, and knowing is half the battle ^_~
To be fair to others who have made this mistake, there really is no indication of what the word ‘unique’ actually implies in the game.
From my understanding, if you come from other MMOs you might know what this is intended to mean. But if you don’t, one would not intuitively just assume it means you can only use/equip one of them.
you can always try submitting a ticket asking them to refund your laurels.

If you came from GW1 it would mean … this drops from a specific boss which is obviously not true here either.
I know what they mean with "unique" here, but that’s possibly an effect of being someone who’s played games for quite a long time.
"Unique" for armor and equipment would be more salient if you were not able to purchase additional copies off vendors -- if the check can be made at the equip screen, perhaps it could also be made at the purchase screen. As I recall, this is the case in other MMOs, or at least a couple of them. Perhaps the team would have the time to add this merchant feature.
This happens all the kitten time. At least once a month someone posts about this. The “unique” label is NOT information bearing and really should be changed to something everyone can understand. I’m really really disappointed in ANet about this.
