Hi fellow player, newbie here.

I just bought the Digital Deluxe Edition since it was on sale and I’ll start playing maybe next week.
Any tips/advice for me? And how can I maximize the usability of the stuffs that comes in the deluxe edition?

I have a few tips!

-Don’t judge a class until you hit level 40 at least; having all utilities and the Elite can make a huge difference in how a class plays.
-Don’t expect Trinity play; every class can do everything.
- Kite. This is action combat, so movement and positioning are very important as active damage mitigation.
-Don’t be afraid to ask questions in /m mapchat. A lot of players will be super helpful.
-Use every harvesting node and store them directly in your bank in dedicated tabs by opening your inventory, clicking on the gear icon and choosing ‘Deposit all materials’
-Clear maps completely. Doing so will reap substantial rewards.
-in the same vein, explore! There are many hidden gems for you to discover.
-Everything nets XP, so do whatever you want.
-Although grinding monsters is generally inefficient for levelling, Monsters that have been alive a long time grant a significant XP bonus on being killed.
-Use the TP. Vendoring is generally a bad idea.
-Make friends and/or join a guild. It’s so much better with other people to play with, and you can join up to five guilds.

Hello! Congratulations!

1. You get the bonus items when you create your first character. Some of them are only once per account, so find a bank and put them there in case you decide to delete your first guy. (Banks are in the capital cities, very near the starter areas. Someone will show you where in game if you ask.)

2. You get a choice of armor skin. Pick the one that either fits the character you want to play now or the one that you think looks nicest for a later character. Krytan is medium, Profane is light and Primeval is heavy. And put it in the bank if you don’t use it immediately.

3. The other stuff you can keep in the bank at first. Use the boosters if you want, you will get more later. They can speed things up a little, but aren’t really necessary.

Read the Red Sticky posts at the top of this forum before you venture too far into the game. Lots of good stuff in those pages.

Ask questions in map chat. Ignore rude responses. GW2 has a fairly friendly, cooperative community and someone will help you out. We all started as noobs.
