I just became familiar with a interesting concept: Diminishing Returns, DR for short: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Diminishing_returns That’s important but not an issue since there’s always quite a few alternatives, and that’s what im curious about, which of the many ‘farm’ ways is the most suitable for each one of the things mentioned in the title. Reason i started wondering this – kinda late, maybe because im not really the farming type so far – is because i got Karma, Experience and MF boosters, and i wanted to make sure i use them in the most efficient/profitable way possible.

So from all the good ways to farm, that im aware about, we got:
- Frostgorge Sound/Queensdale trains, depending on character’s level.
- Temple runs at Orr
- Dynamic chain events that end up going against a big Champ in the end all across the world, specially Mega-events (Karka, Tequatl, Evolved Wurm)
- Fractals of the Mists
- Dungeons
- WvW
- Edge of the Mists

Some of these are related, I just mentioned them in separated points as they are slightly different. I don’t think that the Mega-events are a reliable source to get profit (remember the Boosters will last 1h only), as they are hard to organize, time consuming and bound to fail in many ocasions (unless if there is a server where you know for sure that they always do it on those days/hours). FotM, unless if relics needed, by itself doesn’t seem the best place to get loot, the Karma obtained is higher for higher PR levels (not my case), the gold is nothing to mention about, and the experience im not sure (but since i would use my Experience Booster on a low lvl place this wouldn’t be the place i would choose).

From those mentioned (or any other) how would be best used my Karma, Experience or Magic Find Boosters? My guess – not from experience but feedback i get from other players – is that would be EotM for Karma, Temples for Magic Find, not sure about exp.

If you need karma you can either hop onto a train in WvW/EotM or do Fractals approx 10 lvls below your reward level.
For gold, i´d say The FGS Train/Queensdale Champ Train depending on your lvl
Otherwise you may want to run dungeons and possibly the meta event train

Remember that MF only afects the drops you get from Monsters. So no chests or champ loot bags will be affected by it.

Magic find – world boss trains. Find a timer site, then go to the active bosses. Some days I’m busy I latch on to other commanders in CD. Some days I’m free and I’m the one who clears the pre-events. The world boss chests do seem to be affected by magic find; at low luck I used to get 0-1 rares from a world boss chest, whereas now at 180 luck I can pretty much expect 1-3 with the occasional exotic. In contrast dungeon chests don’t seem to be affected at all, loot from champion bags don’t seem to be affected and the mystic forge doesn’t seem to be affected.

Karma – WvW lolcapping.

EXP – Either the world boss train or dungeons.
