Where would be the fastest way to farm karma. Im looking to get 500k as fast as possible. What would you guys recommend?

I don’t know about everyone else, but I seem to get it most quickly from WvWvW. Also, make sure to do your daily quest every day.

definitely do your daily and monthly!
assuming you only start today, and you wanna get 500 by end of month. there are still 26 days left.
so that’s 26 jugs of karma. add on the other ten from the monthly. 36 jugs of karma.
make sure to use a karma booster (plus 50%) before you consume them. if you can, a guild banner (plus 5%) and guild karma boost (plus 15%) can also affect karma gain.

4500*(1+0.5+.05+0.15)*36 = 275,400.

note: the guild karma boost of 15% only lasts for 24 hours, so save up all your jugs / drops of liquid if you can for this.

you’re over half way there.

if you don’t mind WvW – you can gain karma REALLY fast. doesn’t work for everyone, depending your server and active WvW-ers, but if you on an active server, find out which times are good, find out which times has a good commander that you like following. just keep following a good group, going after objective after objective. you’ll not only get your events for dailies out of the way, you can mine as well, and given you’re able to kill enemies, you’ll get your 60 kills and including the poor innocent animals you come across, you’ll get a good chunk of kill variety as well maybe. and if you’ve the time, you can harvest as well. and jsut to reemphasize, if you don’t keep a close eye on your karma count, at the end of each session or make it even day, you’ll see a huge increase in karma and you’ll be like whaaaaaaaaaaaaat where’d that come from. again, you can use the karma boosters i think.

another option is to do dungeons. each dungeon path will net you 1,880 karma iirc. along the way, there are bosses that may drop bags of wondrous goods usually containing a drop of liquid karma = 400. find a dungeon path that is fast / and still fun for you, for e.g. i don’t mind doing AC at all, relatively fast and good chances at several bags per run. use karma boosters again. for e.g. just use the the 50% booster. if you’re with a good group, you can maybe finish all 3 paths within an hour. i haven’t tried this, but i assume you can pop the karma booster near the end of the first path, to give yourself a buffer to finish all 3 paths while having the karma booster still up. assuming you get on average… say 2 drops of liquid karma per run. each day you can achieve:

(1880+400*2) * 3 * (1+0.5) = 12,060 karma per day.
so 26 days nets you 313,560 karma

and this is just one dungeon. one character.

so just doing the AC dungeon on a daily basis (as it’s still relatively easy to find PUG groups for even and slightly more consistent for the liquid karma drops), dailies and the monthly will give you more than enough to hit 500k.

add in some WvW and other events to spice it up and you’ll hit 500k soon enough : )) just gotta be diligent in using them boosters and not spending any. i get tempted with a lot of karma gear lol.

there’s also the outmanned buff from WvW that gives an extra 33% karma gain. but this only works on karma gained from events it hink.. and not from the jugs or drops? maye someone can confirm.

i hope i did my math right. given, that’s quite a bit of karma boosters to use (gem store most likely) and not sure how karma DR really works using the booster… you can still easily achieve this.

Dunno why but my Karma got reset overnight, I had a nice 8k+ and I log in today and I find it 0 :(

Fairly odd, should I report this as a bug ? it’s not Like I really care about it, I started playing recently and am at 36th level, and I still solo but in all honesty I don’t think it should have happened.

If resetting your client or waiting a day or two doesn’t revert it back. Then yes, report it as a bug. They will investigate the issue and see your character logs for things you purchased with karma. It might have been caused by the recent update, in which they need to know more about it before they are able to fix widescale.

All I did purchase earlier was the invader gear, but after a short while I regained all the karma I spent on that, i try to do a lot of events cuz most of them are fun.

But today I went to buy a few salvage kits for karma and I was after one event and I was like, wut 748 karma, where is my 8k ?

I stumbled upon this thread while searching for some daily quest help and I think that you guys might help me with my question. I was wondering if there are any ways to monitor the achievements. I did not found any hot keys or tabs that are showing your progress and what you have done so far. Yesterday, I was at 97% of what seems to be my daily achievement progress but I was not able to finish it because I did not knew what to do to get my last bit. I’ve tried harvesting stuff, killing diversity of monsters, completing quest hearts but I could not filled that last 3%. It’s a shame really because I’ve wasted a karma jug

I’m fairly new to this game (lvl 25) and there’s still stuff that I don’t understand. I did not even knew that there was daily stuff that you can do for extra rewards 2 days ago. Sometimes a reward popped and I did not knew where it came from. Of course that was the completion of my daily but I didn’t notice it because I was overwhelmed by all the new stuff I was discovering at the same time. Can someone enlighten me please ?

Press H to open your hero screen, then at the very left of the hero screen click the Achievements tab. There you can see the daily and monthly achievements and their progress (what’s been done and what’s not) as well as every other possible achievement in game.

Hi Vile, to access your achiements press ‘H’ on your keyboard to open up your Hero Panel. There are some icons on the left hand side and the bottom one give you access to all the different achievement catagories – it will usually open on the daily achievement list.

I’ve obviously missed that one big time! I knew there was a way to monitor achievements. I thought that it was impossible for a game like this to not have that feature.

do your daily and monthly (duh). WvWvW is great (duh). Both of those have been mentioned. I also find farming karma in Cursed Shore (harder to find a group than Straits) or Straits of Devastation is great. I do Straits for about half an hour to an hour a day. There’s an almost immediately respawning chain of 8 events that runs south to north starting just south west of the Rally Waypoint at the chopper event and it takes about 20 minutes (depending on zerg size) to do all 8 (I can’t remember right now, but somewhere between 300 to 500 karma each)… then start again. Also, about every 2 hours the Balthazar temple opens up again which is nice Karma and you can buy Obby Shards once completed for 2.1k karma each (there’s usually a commander in Straits who will organize what is needed to take the Balth temple, listen to the commander, there are bugs there and if you screw something up it’ll be hours again before you can start). I also prefer it when there’s only about 10 or so in the zerg (as opposed to 30) because you’ll also get much better drops.

I can usually farm about 1g and 12 – 15k karma in an hour or two. I’m sure there are faster ways out there, but sometimes you can’t find a good WvW group, so this is a good backup.

If you don’t know the route, just map into Straits and mapchat “where’s zerg” and ask for a waypoint and find the group. Follow for a while and you’ll learn the route.
